Product description FURminator deShedding brush for small long-haired dogs, size S
Removes dead hair during shedding up to 90%. Application of 10-20 minutes per week.
What is the difference between brushing and deShedding? Brushing and combing is not the same as removing undercoat (deShedding). Brushing mainly releases the top layer of tangles and dirt. DeShedding removes dead undercoat without damaging the top coat (when used correctly). The FURminator deShedding Tool removes significantly more dead hair compared to a regular brush or comb.
Why are brushing and deShedding important? Daily brushing and weekly removal of fallen undercoat is important for coat health. Coat care generally affects two types of hair: undercoat and top coat. When hairs stop growing, they are shed by the hair follicle to make way for new hairs. Different dog breeds shed to varying degrees. Dead hairs that are not regularly removed can attract moisture and mix with dust, dirt, or mud. If these hairs remain in the coat, over time they can form tangles that hinder the formation of new follicles. Removing these tangles can be painful for your dog or cause skin irritations that can lead to small injuries and inflammations. The lower layers of the coat can remain tangled and uncomfortable.
Remove your pet's undercoat 1-2 times a week to reduce dead hair caused by normal shedding.
Why do you need the FURminator deShedding Tool: The FURminator deShedding Tool gently removes dead undercoat during shedding without cutting or damaging the top coat. The undercoat collected by the blade can be easily removed with one hand using the practical FURejector button. When not in use, the brush's teeth are protected by a retractable cap.
Is the FURminator deShedding Tool suitable for your dog? This FURminator undercoat brush is suitable for small dogs weighing between 4.5 kg and 9 kg with long hair (more than 5 cm hair length), such as Shih Tzu, Tivet Spaniel, Sheltie, and long-haired Dachshund. The deShedding Tool is suitable only for breeds with undercoat.
Instructions for use: Use the FURminator undercoat removal tool for small long-haired dogs 1-2 times a week for 10 to 20 minutes per session on dry coat as part of the 4-step FURminator Ultimate hair reduction system.
Warnings: Keep out of reach of children.
